Key Responsibilities

As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s sales strategies and managing relationships with key clients. Your role will involve:

1. Client Relationship Management

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners will be at the heart of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with schools, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to develop customized sales strategies tailored to their needs.

2. Sales Strategy Development

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative business development strategies. This includes identifying new opportunities, improving sales processes, and ensuring that sales targets are met consistently.

3. CRM & Reporting

You will be responsible for maintaining a detailed record of all client activity through CRM software (such as Odoo). This includes entering leads and updating customer information. Providing regular sales activity reports will be key to keeping senior management informed of progress.

4. Problem Resolution

When issues arise between internal teams and clients, you will act as the primary point of contact. You will collaborate with product, training, and implementation teams to resolve issues efficiently, ensuring that client expectations are exceeded.

5. Training & Performance Enhancement

In addition to overseeing day-to-day sales activities, you will be responsible for organizing and implementing training programs to boost team performance. This ensures your sales team has the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

6. Distribution & Logistics

Managing distribution operations will also be a key part of the role. You will work to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products to customers, helping maintain high customer satisfaction levels.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the educational, pharmaceutical, or publishing sectors.

  • Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency with CRM software, and strong command over Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Transportation: As daily visits to schools are essential, having your own transportation is necessary (travel allowance will be provided).

  • Sector Knowledge: Experience in the publishing, book-selling, or school sector is desirable but not essential.
