Key Responsibilities
Lead Remote Primary Healthcare Teams
Manage the daily operations of a Remote Primary Health Centre, coordinating a multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of essential services across primary care, maternal health, and chronic disease prevention.
Ensure Culturally Safe and Effective Service Delivery
Plan and implement healthcare services that respect and align with local Indigenous values and cultural practices.
Oversee Clinical Governance and Emergency Response
Take charge of clinical governance, mentoring staff, managing risk, and participating in a 24/7 emergency on-call roster. Travel by 4WD or light aircraft may be required for relief duties at remote sites.
Who You Are
To thrive in this role, you must be:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Experienced with at least 4 years in nursing, including 2 years in remote or regional settings
- Certified in remote emergency care, maternity emergencies, and up-to-date with vaccinations
- Capable of driving a manual vehicle and eligible for an NT Driver’s Licence
- Comfortable with remote travel, including air and rugged terrain

Remuneration and Employment Benefits
This is a Nurse Level 5 RDO position with a remuneration package ranging from $154,856 to $161,287, inclusive of:
- Base salary ($132,267 – $139,215)
